Family Photography FAQs

What should we wear for our family photos?: Neutral colors and coordinating tones (not matching outfits) work best. Layers add variety, and accessories like scarves or hats can bring personality. I’ll send you a prep guide so everyone looks coordinated and comfortable.
Can we bring our dog?: Yes! Pets are part of the family, and they’re welcome in both mini and extended sessions. Just bring a leash, some treats, and maybe a squeaky toy for good measure.
Do you reschedule if the weather is bad?: Absolutely. San Francisco weather can be unpredictable, so we’ll confirm a backup date if rain or heavy fog makes the session impossible.
How long will it take to get our photos?: Your proofing gallery will be ready within one week. From there, you can select your favorites for retouching and order professional prints or albums. The final images that are going to be retouched will take an additional week.
Do you travel outside San Francisco for family sessions?: Yes! I photograph families throughout the Bay Area—including Oakland, Berkeley, San Mateo, Palo Alto, Marin, and beyond. Travel fees may apply for locations outside San Francisco.
Can we include grandparents or extended family?: Of course. For groups larger than 6, extended family sessions start at $775 to give us enough time to capture group portraits and candid connections.
