3 Tips to Help with Your Headshots

3 Tips to Improve your Facial Features

If you're feeling self conscious about smiling in front of the camera, here are three tips to help you nail your look.

First, when smiling, press your tongue against your upper teeth. It creates a more natural looking smile. You'll find that you're relaxing your smile slightly, creating a firmness with your facial structure, and just a slightly opened mouth. Then, smile just a bit.

Second, when looking at the photographer, that's me, stare just above the lens on the camera body. It gives a powerful gaze that really shows connection in your image.

Finally, enhance your jawline by pushing it towards the camera. I call this the turtle. Push your chin out and down, slightly. It gives the appearance of a refined jaw and a slimmer neck.

I will always help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will remind you of these tips and give you more to create the most relaxed, yet confident, version of yourself.
